Carson Valley, Nevada
Carson City is Nevada's Sate Capital, founded in 1858 by ranchers and named for the famous frontiersman "Kit" Carson. Silver put Carson City on the map as the nearby Comstock Lode sparked an influx of prospectors upon it's discovery in 1859.
Today, Carson Valley encompasses the burgeoning communities of Minden, Gardnerville and Genoa, where ranches and historical landmarks are still prominent among the golf courses and new homes representative of recent growth. Carson Valley is a quick 20 minute drive over Spooner Pass to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Views of the snow capped Sierra Nevada Mountains and prominent Job's Peak dominate the western skyline, with the Pine Nut Mountains and expansive agricultural lands to the East.
Carson's favorable climate, unlimited outdoor recreation, quality schools, and a healthy business environment provide a high quality of life to it's residents.
